Like everyone, we're still trying to figure out how to best operate in such strange times - both as individuals and as a business. That said, we've spent a great deal of time thinking and reading about how to operate the cafe as safely and responsibly as possible in the midst of a global pandemic. Here are the changes we're making to our operations to help ensure the peace of mind and safety of our guests and staff:
All games will be quarantined for a minimim of 1 day before returning to the shelves. Our staff will sanitize game components made of plastic and other materials amenable to sanitization.
Like all surfaces, board games are a potential transmission vector for the virus and all guests should be conscientious about sanitizing their hands and avoid touching their face as much as possible while playing.
While walk-ins are still welcome, we highly encourage everyone to book online in order to minimize unnecessary traffic in the cafe and reduce the likelihood we'll have to turn people away given our reduced capacity. Browse availability and book a table today on Tock .
All guests should be wearing a mask when entering the cafe, for the safety and peace of mind of both other guests and our staff. Once seated, you are free to remove your masks, but it should be worn while browsing games or walking to the bathroom. We know its hard to resist endlessly perusing the library, but ask you try to reduce the amount of time spent wandering the cafe.
In order to streamline our new reservation policy and best accomodate guests with reduced capacity, we will no longer be able to guarantee you'll be able to keep a table for as long as you'd like. Tables are reserved in 3 hour blocks, after which groups may be asked to relinquish their table to another party. Walk-ins will also be subject to this same time limit to ensure that reservations can be kept and that all guests may enjoy the library.
This new limit is simply to ensure that everyone is aware that they may be asked to finish up after 3 hours of gaming. However, if there is no waitlist or upcoming reservations for your table, you may just be able to stick around for another game.
