Cafe Progress

Hey board gamers! Apologies for the radio silence as of late - we've had our heads down working hard to finish renovations, getting approvals from the city, and preparing to open!

Here's a few of the things we've been working on:

Private Room - aka 'The Queen Mary'

Our private room - dubbed 'The Queen Mary' by our generous backer Peter - is coming along. We've painted the walls and put in a nice new floor. It's not quite as glamorous as we want it to be yet, but its getting there!

The Ramp

We've installed the ramp necessary to make our space ADA compliant. All thats left now is railings!

Cafe Decorations

We're having fun finding fun objects to decorate the cafe, and 3d printing a few too!

Kitchen Progress

Sam's been working with our food distributer to bring you all the best possible menu. We've also layed out our kitchen and acquired some necessary equipment like this autofryer that will make frying up appetizers and snacks a breeze.

Tables and Chairs!

After lots of searching, we found a great deal on a truck-load of chairs. Now you'll be able to sit while you play games! We also had some beautiful tables custom built for the cafe. They're pictured here, covered in games...

Custom Catan Table

Here's a sneak peak at our custom Settlers of Catan table. It's still a work-in-progress but we think it's looking pretty good already!

As you can see, there's been a lot going on at Boards & Brews. There's still more work to be done before we can open, but we're getting close! Hopefully by the time we post our next update we'll be ready to announce our official open date and details for our backer party. Until then, happy gaming!
